My name is Louisa.

I have lots of experience of being both a client and a therapist, so I understand the importance of finding the right therapist for you and having a therapeutic relationship which allows you to feel safe, heard, believed and valued.

I believe we are all different, and whilst one approach might work for one person, it might be less effective for another. This is why when I decided to become a counsellor, I chose to study integrative counselling, allowing me to combine different therapies to work with you in a way that best suits you and your individual needs.

I have experienced painful and challenging times in life. It was due to my experiences, struggles, personal therapeutic journey, and subsequent healing which led me to wanting to become a counsellor. I know from first-hand experience what it can be like to feel ‘rock bottom’. I have had both positive and negative experiences of counselling, and I am committed to ensuring I give you the best counselling I am able to offer you.

I have also been a Samaritan for many years. As well as running my private practice, I have experience counselling cancer patients and their families/carers at a Hospital Cancer Unit. I also volunteer as a counsellor at a university.

When I am not working, I am usually with my family and my dog, or busy making something in my craft room!
