Your appointment will be 50 minutes.

Appointments are £60 per 50-minute appointment.

I offer a few concessionary rate spaces to frontline workers, students and trainee counsellors who are in financial hardship. Please contact me to find out more.
-
Yes, sessions are weekly.
-
I see most of my clients on a longer-term basis but understand this isn’t possible for everyone. I suggest we have the initial consultation together so that we can meet, discuss what is going on for you and discuss your needs. If short-term counselling is the only option for you, I recommend a minimum of 6 sessions. We can review the sessions every few week to see how you feel you are getting on.
-
All appointments are online via Zoom video platform.
-
I work with those aged 17 and above.
-
Make sure you are in a private space where you cannot be overheard or interrupted. Please ensure the place you choose has good internet signal and you have your camera on throughout the call.
-
No I will not give you homework to complete, however we may sometimes talk about something and I may suggest you think about it further during the week or try putting into practice something we have spoken about. Sometimes you may find this useful, other times you may find life gets in the way or maybe you simply forget. All of these responses are ok and will unlikely get in the way of future sessions, but it is important to remember that generally the more you put into therapy, the more you will get out of it.
-
I understand that for a lot of people, reaching out for help can feel overwhelming or even impossible. You are welcome to contact me to ask about my availability and give me your overview of the situation, but I will then need your friend or family member to contact me directly following this initial contact to confirm an appointment. The appointments are one-to-one and confidential so you will not be able to join your friend / family member for the appointment.
-
It is very unusual I need to breach confidentiality, however examples of when I may need to include: being particularly concerned about your welfare or that of someone else.
I also attend regular supervision and will discuss our work together, but will keep your anonymity at all times.
